Little Felt Box

Grandmothers smell like grandmothers what you perceive while they are reading fairy tales.
Grandmothers hair turns white...

Grandmothers always listen when you have a problem.
Grandmothers sometimes only say one short sentence but that will grow in your heart and mind forever.
Grandmothers have doilies or some lace on their undershirt.
Grandmothers hide pearl jewelry in a small box.
Grandmothers do handcraft.
You never forget Grandmother...

"Grandmother's Whisper" that's how I call this felt box.

Angel Felt Box for Christmas

Ever felt an angel's breath in the gentle breeze? A teardrop in the falling rain? Hear a whisper amongst the rustle of leaves? Or been kissed by a lone snowflake? Nature is an angel's favorite hiding place. ~Carrie Latet

I wish you a merry Christmas!

Flattering Felt Box

A hanging felt box again. Some say it looks like an angel. Other say it's an owl. What do you think?

Sometimes I don't fancy working with bright colors. That's a piece for giving my eyes a rest. Only natural, curly wool with some effect yarn which you don't see on the photo but in the sunshine it glitters in the felt.

Hanging felt vessel

I loved felting this bird nest.

But mostly I like making felt boxes, vessels, cases etc. where man can hide lovely treasures, hold necessary things or leave messages for someone.
So this nest is to work as such a helper in the abode.

It's quite big...

The beads are from a necklace of the 60-70s. Someone gave them to me, maybe I could use them instead of throwing away. Now I found a good place for them. That's also some kind of recycling...

It looks beautiful when the light shines through them.

I felted in silk fibres and pieces of a gift-ribbon.

My favorite color has been blue since I was a child. Different shades. In the last time I like to combine it with more green and warm yellow.

I will take it with me to a Christmas market in Germany and I hope it will find a new home.

Have a sunny day!

Felt box with angel-design

A felted angel-box for hiding treasures.
Marbles from your childhood.
Goodies.
Jewels.
Or:

...lovely messages for someone each day before Christmas.
PS.: I organized an online felt workshop for this Advent season in german language. (I'm planning another one for Spring also in English.) Members get tutorials for 4 X-mas felt projects. The first one was felting an angel-box. If you would like to see some results, let me invite you to the workshop gallery.
